Cookie Policy

Our website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are usually stored in a folder in your browser. Cookies contain information about the current or last visit to the website:

  • Name of the website
  • Expiration date of the cookie
  • Any value

If cookies do not contain an exact expiration date, they are only temporarily stored and automatically deleted as soon as you close your browser or restart your device. Cookies with an expiration date remain stored even when you close your browser or restart your device. Such cookies are only removed on the specified date or if you manually delete them.

On our website, we use the following three types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies (these are necessary, for example, to display the website correctly for you and to store certain settings)
  • Functional and performance-related cookies (these help us to evaluate technical data from your visit and thus avoid error messages)
  • Advertising and analysis-related cookies (these ensure, for example, that advertisements for shoes are displayed if you have previously searched for shoes)

You can configure, block, and delete cookies in your browser settings. If you delete all cookies from our website, some functions of the website may not be displayed correctly.

Google Fonts

Google Fonts (https://fonts.google.com) by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google") are used to improve the visual appearance of the font, a collection of fonts provided by Google. These fonts are transferred and activated in the memory folder of your browser when accessing this website or other websites. If this is not supported, the text on the website is only displayed in a standard font. To enable this, a request is sent to domains such as fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com, which, for technical reasons, contains your IP address. However, your data is not merged with other data or traced back to your person.

As protective measures, we have ensured that the retrieval of the font collection from Google does not merge data with other Google offerings, e.g., if you have a Google user account. English information on data protection for Google Fonts confirms this (https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq). In addition, the high security standards of the Google platform and the associated data protection declaration of Google (https://www.google.com/intl/de-DE/privacy) apply. Since Google is based in the USA, a so-called third country, further guarantees are required to ensure an adequate level of European data protection. Google has certified itself under the so-called EU-US Privacy Shield, demonstrating an appropriate level of data protection (https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/frameworks/). The purpose of the data transfer is the correct display of the fonts in the form we have set. The IP address is necessary to establish a connection with Google's servers to download the font collection if it is not already stored on the end device. The legal basis is the so-called legitimate interest, which has been examined in pursuit of the purpose and within the aforementioned protective measures and in compliance with European data protection requirements under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses the advertising and analytics cookies described above to analyze your website usage behavior. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is transmitted to and stored on a server by Google in the United States. However, your IP address will be truncated before the usage statistics are evaluated, so that no conclusions can be drawn about your person. Google Analytics has been expanded on our website with the code "anonymizeIp" to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses. Google will use the anonymized information obtained through cookies to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities for website operators, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

You can also configure your browser to reject cookies, or you can prevent the collection and analysis of data by Google by downloading and installing a browser plugin (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en) provided by Google.

As protective measures, we use the anonymization procedure offered by Google, which ensures that subsequent analysis of the data is not based on your person, but only on a statistical basis. In addition, the high security standards of the Google platform and Google's privacy policy (https://www.google.com/intl/en-EN/privacy) apply. We have also concluded a special data protection agreement (order processing) with Google, which prescribes the protection of your data by technical and organizational measures. As Google is based in the United States, a so-called third country, further guarantees are required to ensure an adequate level of European data protection. Google has certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield and thus demonstrated an appropriate level of data protection (https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/frameworks/). The purpose of using Google Analytics is the anonymous analysis of your usage behavior on our websites. The insights gained from this help us to improve our offering. The legal basis is the so-called legitimate interest, which has been examined for the pursuit of the purpose and within the aforementioned protective measures and in accordance with European data protection requirements under Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager, a service that allows website tags to be managed through an interface. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. This means that no cookies are used and no personal data is collected. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags that may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been performed at the domain or cookie level, it remains in effect for all tracking tags that are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.

Tawk.to (Chatbot)

Our website offers the possibility of using Tawk.to, which is a live chat software integrated into the source code through a script. By using the chat, you automatically use the services of Tawk.to. The collected data includes the chat history, IP address at the time of the chat, and country of origin. These data are not shared with third parties and are used exclusively for protection and internal statistics. The data does not serve to identify your person and is not stored. Deletion occurs after the chat. Please refer to Tawk.to's privacy policy for the purpose and scope of data collection, further processing and use of data by Tawk.to, as well as your rights and privacy protection settings.

Legal basis: The so-called legitimate interest, which was checked in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO for the purpose of pursuing the purpose and within the aforementioned protective measures and in accordance with European data protection requirements.

Protective measure: We have concluded an order processing agreement with the provider that complies with the requirements of Art. 28 DSGVO.
